Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers can change the shape, color, length, or width of your teeth. Veneers are a thin, semi-translucent laminate permanently bonded to your teeth. While they are not suitable for every patient, veneers are the most aesthetic alternative for a variety of dental conditions involving the front teeth, including diastemas (spaces between teeth), broken or chipped teeth, unsightly, stained, or washed-out fillings, permanently stained or discolored teeth that can't be bleached, or crooked teeth.
One of the great advantages of veneers is that the procedure usually takes only two visits. Veneers can last indefinitely, depending on how well they are taken care of. They are also more resistant to stains and chipping than regular bonding.
Zoom! Teeth Whitening
The Zoom! In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary teeth whitening procedure. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. The convenience of Zoom! compared to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening makes it the perfect choice for busy individuals.
The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. Our staff will then apply the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure. You'll be amazed with the results. In most cases teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure. You can now have the “Hollywood smile” you have always dreamed of.
Bonding
Bonding involves the direct application of tooth-colored composite resin while filling decayed teeth and is typically used to create a more attractive smile.
Bonding can be employed to change the size or shape of your teeth, creating a smile that appears more symmetrical and space free. This single-visit procedure provides a fast solution for a more attractive smile and may eliminate the need for orthodontic treatment in some cases.
Tooth stains and discolorations that resist professional tooth whitening procedures may also be masked by bonding. Although bonding may not be as long lasting as porcelain veneers or crowns, it can last for a number of years with proper care.
Dentures and Partials
An important step in maintaining a healthy smile is to replace missing teeth. When teeth are missing, the remaining ones can change position, drift into the surrounding space, and possibly damage tissue in the mouth. In addition, it may be difficult to clean thoroughly between malpositioned teeth. As a result, you run the risk of tooth decay and periodontal (gum) disease, which can lead to the loss of additional teeth.
A removable partial denture fills in the space created by missing teeth and fills out your smile. A denture helps you to properly chew food and may improve speech and prevent a sagging face by providing support for lips and cheeks. Thanks to Dr. Castillo, you will now be able to chew more easily, speak with clarity and finally smile with confidence.
Gum Contouring
Many people have teeth that look too "short" due to the relationship between their teeth and gums. This creates a "gummy" smile.
Gum contouring removes some of the tissue to eliminate a “gummy” smile. Gum Contouring involves trimming away excess gum tissue with a special laser which also seals blood vessels, keeping bleeding at a minimum. After the procedure takes place, the gum is left to heal and the results are most often immediate. In some cases where more gum tissue is removed, the healing process may take longer.
Ultimately this procedure creates a consistent even gum line that results in a better looking smile
