Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers can change the shape, color, length, or width of your teeth. Veneers are a thin, semi-translucent laminate permanently bonded to your teeth. While they are not suitable for every patient, veneers are the most aesthetic alternative for a variety of dental conditions involving the front teeth, including diastemas (spaces between teeth), broken or chipped teeth, unsightly, stained, or washed-out fillings, permanently stained or discolored teeth that can't be bleached, or crooked teeth.
One of the great advantages of veneers is that the procedure usually takes only two visits. Veneers can last indefinitely, depending on how well they are taken care of. They are also more resistant to stains and chipping than regular bonding.
Snap-On Smile
Snap-On Smile is a patented, easy and painless way to obtain a beautiful smile. Dr. Castillo can now provide you with a Snap-On Smile that is thin and strong with the look of natural teeth. You can eat and drink with your Snap-On Smile. It's easy to care for and can be a temporary or permanent cosmetic solution. It's available for upper and lower teeth. It fits right over your own teeth to give you a beautiful, natural looking smile—even if you have stains, chips, gaps or missing teeth.
Snap-It
Snap-It! lives up to its name. It simply "snaps on" to adjacent teeth and provides a stable and esthetic temporary solution for implant patients. It is designed specifically for smaller coverage area, such as gaps or implants, consisting of five units or less. Unlike traditional flipper appliances, it's convenient and simple to place, it's non-invasive, and it's comfortable and attractive.
Zoom! Teeth Whitening
The Zoom! In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary teeth whitening procedure. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. The convenience of Zoom! compared to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening makes it the perfect choice for busy individuals.
The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. Our staff will then apply the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure. You'll be amazed with the results. In most cases teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure. You can now have the “Hollywood smile” you have always dreamed of.
Bonding
Bonding involves the direct application of tooth-colored composite resin while filling decayed teeth and is typically used to create a more attractive smile.
Bonding can be employed to change the size or shape of your teeth, creating a smile that appears more symmetrical and space free. This single-visit procedure provides a fast solution for a more attractive smile and may eliminate the need for orthodontic treatment in some cases.
Tooth stains and discolorations that resist professional tooth whitening procedures may also be masked by bonding. Although bonding may not be as long lasting as porcelain veneers or crowns, it can last for a number of years with proper care.
Dentures and Partials
An important step in maintaining a healthy smile is to replace missing teeth. When teeth are missing, the remaining ones can change position, drift into the surrounding space, and possibly damage tissue in the mouth. In addition, it may be difficult to clean thoroughly between malpositioned teeth. As a result, you run the risk of tooth decay and periodontal (gum) disease, which can lead to the loss of additional teeth.
A removable partial denture fills in the space created by missing teeth and fills out your smile. A denture helps you to properly chew food and may improve speech and prevent a sagging face by providing support for lips and cheeks. Thanks to Dr. Castillo, you will now be able to chew more easily, speak with clarity and finally smile with confidence.
Invisalign
Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made, nearly undetectable aligners. Whether your teeth are crowded, too far apart or have shifted, Invisalign may be right for you.
Upon an initial examination, Dr. Castillo will decide if Invisalign is right for you. She will then write a treatment plan and take an impression of your teeth. Thanks to the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign carefully translates Dr. Castillo’s instructions into a series of precisely customized aligners. The aligners will move your teeth gradually week by week until you achieve the smile you have always desired.
Finally, no more braces and nothing to hold you back! Dr. Castillo will work with you to get the beautiful smile you have always wanted.
ViziLite Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer is one of the most curable diseases when it's caught early. That's why the ViziLite Plus exam has been developed and is offered in our office. ViziLite Plus uses technology that has proven successful in identifying soft tissue abnormalities in other areas of the body. A ViziLite Plus exam is particularly important if you are at increased risk for developing oral cancer.
The ViziLite Plus exam can help Dr. Castillo identify abnormal tissue, that might develop into oral cancer.
An annual ViziLite Plus exam, in combination with a regular visual examination, provides a comprehensive oral screening procedure for patients at increased risk for oral cancer. The ViziLite Plus exam is painless and fast, and could help save your life.
Sleep Apnea/Snoring Appliance
An oral appliance is a small acrylic device that fits over the upper and lower teeth or tongue (similar to an orthodontic retainer or mouth guard). This device slightly advances the lower jaw or tongue, which moves the base of the tongue forward and opens the airway. This improves breathing and reduces snoring and apnea. The appliance is fabricated and customized for each patient by Dr. Castillo. The appliances are comfortable and well tolerated by the patients. They are easy to place and remove, easy to clean and are convenient for travel.
