What is OrthoFX?

OrthoFX is a dental technology and orthodontics company that specializes in clear aligner treatments an alternative to traditional braces for straightening teeth. The company uses advanced materials, digital treatments planning, and a hybrid model involving both in-person and remote care to provide orthodontic soutions for adults and teens. 

What are the benefits of OrthoFX?

OrthoFX offers several benefits compared to traditional braces. First, because the trays are made of proprietary materials and design like HyperElastic polymers and smooth scalloped edges, aim to reduce pressure spikes and irriation, making the aligners more comfortable to wear. They're virtually invisible while they are being worn. The aligners are removable for short periods of time to eat and drink also, brushing and flossing for easier hygiene. It is recommended to wear the aligners for at least 22-23 hours a day.

What happens during OrthoFX treatment?

Upon an initial examination, Dr. Castillo and Dr. Bronner will decide if OrthoFX is right for you. Treatment begins with pre-op photos by a dental assistance and then taking impressions of the teeth. The impressions are sent to a lab to manufacturing a pre-op study models. Afterwards we used special software Planmecca Emerald Scanner to scan the tooth surface then creates a series of virtual 3-D models that reflect the movements the teeth need to make to come into their proper alignment. The aligners are then crafted based on these models. Patient will wear a new set of aligners each week or so, while your provider monitors progress remotely using FXOnTrack app.  Most patients can complete treatment in less than two years.

Is OrthoFX covered by insurance?

Generally, no, although some plans provide partial coverage for orthodontic care. Our office can help patients determine their coverage limits and identify other sources of budget-friendly financing.
